Birds

“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"

Mathew 6 : 26 KJV

I can't tell you how many birds my family had growing up: Dozens and dozens of Budgerigar parakeets and then a family of Cockatiels - not including the caravan of hummingbirds and other feathered visitors stopping by the feeders outside on their migratory runs... More than any other animal out there I can safely say birds have been such an essential part of my life, and my photography would of course involve these sweet friends of mine.

In this verse from the Book of Mathew, we have a message that relates to our cares of this world, and how The Father of Heaven not only knows our needs but is also Willing to Provide them if we Trust and Obey Him. Jesus Uses the lives of birds to illustrate how they come and go and have no shortage of necessary supplies, and if so the birds, how much more so God's people? When I battle worries and have my concerns, it comforts me to hear the sound of the Mourning Dove outside to remind me of this passage from Mathew...
